Bio Pesticides
Bio pesticides envisages the use of pathogenic micro organisms or their by products in the management of pests, diseases and nematodes.

Pest Management
Beauveria Bassiana
The white muscardine fungus is widespread on several species of caterpillars belonging to Lepidoptera. It has the largest host range among the imperfect fungi. It can also infect the members of Hemiptera, Diptera, Coleoptera, Orthoptera, Hymenoptera and Thysanoptera. Although immature stages are more commonly infected than adults, the reverse is also true. The pupae are infrequently attacked and eggs succumb to fungal infection to certain extent. The spores of Beauveria bassiana are compatible with several insecticides. It also produces a variety of toxins. It has been found promising against coffee berry borer and several species of leaf eating insects.
